Makeba's diverse experience has given her the knowledge and tools needed to recognize her clients needs. Whether it's consulting her buyers on the best property to complement their lifestyle, as well as financial capability, or assisting a seller with the preparation needed to sell his/her property, Not only is she known to sell properties for their highest value but Makeba takes a qualitative and quantitative assessment approach to make sure her clients are more than satisfied at the closing table.

Makeba G. Lloyd began her real estate career in 1999 during the huge internet and real estate boom. Prior to her practicing real estate brokerage, Makeba spent five years working in the fashion industry, specializing in sales and public relations. In 2003 she joined Goodstein Realty/Management, a firm started by one of Donald Trump's father's first construction crew workers. However, in early 2004, Goodstein was purchased by one of the largest international real estate firms in the country. It was there where Makeba was able to take advantage of an extensive real estate training program. After several months Makeba felt that her talent and expertise would be better utilized in a smaller, more boutique real estate environment. It was then when Makeba joined The Developers Group prior to it merging with The Real Estate Group of New York to form what is now MNS. Makeba has received recognitions as Broker of the Year and Broker of the month. Her experience spans the residential rental, sales and new development sectors, with a focus on representing New York real estate developers throughout Brooklyn, Harlem and Queens.

In addition to her real estate career, Makeba is very much invested in the community of her hometown, Harlem. She is an active volunteer press secretary to the dynamic Harlem4.com, a non-profit community and public policy action group, as well as co-founder of Consciousgearexpo.org, a youth initiative to engage young people in coming up with solutions to solve some of their community's social ills. Makeba also holds a Bachelor?s of Science in Business Management. She is a dedicated steward of the New York community both professionally and philanthropically.
