Townsend- 350 W 37th St

By Adebayo Fagbohun on July 29, 2010

Townsend is new on the rental property scene, occupants expected to move in this summer. As one of the newest additions to the rental buildings in the Garment District area, it truly is lovely to behold. This  29 story, glass and limestone tower is just a few blocks from Times Square, the Fashion District, Hudson River Park and Chelsea nightlife. It is also the best priced property in that area, by far.

The sophisticated lobby entrance features a cascading waterfall, limestone walls with smooth stone flooring. The apartments are spacious - the convertible 3 bedrooms are one of my favorite layout in the building. The size approximates +/- 1000 square feet with floor to ceiling windows, rooms equipped with recessed wall speakers and built in iPod/MP3 docking stations in all living rooms and bedrooms, some units have fitted speakers in the bathrooms, custom window treatments.

The developer Lalezarian, owner of several residential properties in New York, took the initiative of designing an open kitchen with hardwood cabinetry, white caeser stone countertops, viscaya glass backsplashes with a matte finish, Frigidaire ice maker refrigerators, GE stainless steel ranges, microwaves and dishwasher.

The convertible 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom units are the most desirable line, especially for shares as the rooms are very spacious.
