A rare building that combines features of different architectural styles: initially built in 1840 in Greek Revival style, it was redesigned at the beginning of the 20th century, adding ironwork elements to the façade, typical of the Mediterranean style. Big windows of the dwelling allow lots of daylight and view over the beautiful landscape of Grove Street.

The building is close to the historic Cherry Lane Theatre, which hosted many productions featuring John Malkovich, Barbra Streisand, Geraldine Fitzgerald, James Earl Jones, and many more acclaimed artists.
