PS. 151 Yorkville Community School

After eight years of absence the school is finally back!  Even though it carries the same name, it bears no resemblance to the previous one that actually closed for poor performance.

This school is brand new, starting from its Principal, a former assistant principal at PS/IS 217 and it is a very welcomed addition to the overcrowded Upper East Side Public School.  The school opened with four kindergarten classes and it will add a grade per year.  Both teachers’ and parents’ involvement are very high and very promising for making this school successful.

Physical Education is provided by Asphalt Green, a sport recreational center, music instruction and concerts are provided to student through a partnership with 92nd street Y and chess is sponsored by NYC chess.  Arts Connection sponsor arts.

America Reads & America Writes tutor visit the school daily to read with students.
