Poco

Poco NYC

The nightlife on the Lower East Side is very cool. Poco - located at 33 Ave B, right on the corner of 3rd Street - is one of the newest additions to this trendy area. I have been there twice already and have loved it both times.

The first time I went for dinner with a friend. The tapas were beyond delicious. We shared three and all of them were flavorful and delicious. Also, unlike many other tapas restaurants, the three dishes were more than enough to eat for the two of us. Everyone was super friendly from Joey, the door guy, to Jason, the waiter, and Sara, one of the owners. The wine selection was fantastic and the bill was definitely one of the more reasonable ones I’ve seen in a long time. I loved the vibe at Poco so much that I decided to go back last night with another friend for some cocktails. The energy was just great and it was really nice when the waiter even remembered me.

The restaurant is small, bringing a very intimate feel to it. The décor has somewhat of a rustic feel and the tunes playing are upbeat. The chef at Poco Abe Lopez is the winner of food networks “Chopped.”

So next time you are looking for a terrific night out for food and/or drinks definitely head down to Poco. You will not be disappointed.
