At 37 Canal Street you will find a little bitty restaurant with a lot of fun and lots of atmosphere. Les Enfants Terribles has a funky gourmet menu with a mixture of French and African dishes. The restaurant is known for its tiny space, but delicious neighborhood bistro fare and its fun, loud, and lively crowd.
The music and design of the restaurant create an ambiance that is both chic and relaxed. It is a great place for groups to gather for dinner and just as good to go with friends for drinks. When the weather allows, they open the large windows, making it a particularly popular place for a late night drink.
Les Enfants Terribles also has an excellent brunch. When I went there, I had a really hard time deciding between all the interesting dishes. I definitely recommend the lamb and frites. All the people who will soon be moving into 21 Ludlow are super lucky to have such a funky and energetic restaurant right down the street from them.
I read many reviews about the restaurant and many rated the service rude. However, I am pleased to report that this was not my experience at all. The service was equally as pleasant as the food was yummy.
